Local & Global Outreach

Local Outreach

Through our local outreach efforts, we strive to love our neighbors and reach them with the saving message of the gospel. We seek to accomplish this through different outreach events and ministries that give us the opportunity to get to know our neighbors and tell them the good news of eternal life found through faith in Jesus Christ.

  • Trunk or Treat: Every Halloween, our church hosts a Trunk or Treat outreach event for our community. Children can come for treats, prizes, a bounce house, and much more!

  • New Movers: Teams go out weekly to welcome new movers into our neighborhood and invite them to our church. We leave each new mover with a welcome bag that contains information about our church and the good news of Jesus Christ

  • Gospel to Every Home: In partnership with the Kentucky Baptist Convention, we have participated in their Gospel to Every Home outreach where groups go door to door to talk with our neighbors, pray for them, and share the gospel with them.

  • UofL Outreach: Our church sends out a team to the University of Louisville’s summer orientation nights to meet new students, invite them to our church, and talk to them about Jesus Christ. We also send out a team who serves meals on a regular basis at the UofL Baptist Campus Ministry.

  • Gaslight Festival: Every year our church has a table set up at the Gaslight Festival in Jeffersontown where we hand out water bottles, invite people from our community to church, and share the gospel with them.

Global Outreach

Through our global outreach efforts, we strive to evangelize cross culturally, support our missionaries, and equip people for missions. We have sent out one missionary directly from our church, Steven Kunkel, as well as support worldwide missions through prayer and giving. We also emphasize missions during our Missions Focus time during our worship service where we pray for the needs of believers all around the globe.
